How we work with sustainabilityUpdated 2 months ago

At ColourWear, we’re not just along for the sustainability ride—we’re in it for the long haul. It’s not about ticking boxes or trendy labels. It’s about real, lasting change (with a good dose of style along the way).

Giving old materials new life

We're big fans of second chances, especially when it comes to materials. A large part of our fabrics come from recycled sources, and we're always raising the bar. In 2023, about 75% of our fabrics were sustainably sourced. In 2024, we’re hitting 80%. That includes recycled shells, linings, and padding.

We also say no to nasties like fluorocarbons and aim to use sustainably sourced cotton wherever we can. Every detail matters when you're trying to reduce your footprint, and we believe in sweating the small stuff for a greener tomorrow.

Gear that goes the distance

We build our gear to last, not just for a season, but for years of adventure. Think reinforced elbows, fade-resistant fabrics, and timeless styles that never go out of fashion. Whether you're shredding, exploring, or just chilling, our pieces are designed to keep up (and look good doing it).

Designed to be loved longer

Rooted in Scandinavian design values, we stick to styles and colour palettes that look fresh season after season. We don’t believe in throwaway trends. We believe in pieces you’ll reach for again and again, your ride-or-die jacket, your go-to hoodie. Fashion that goes the distance and evolves with you.

Our journey toward circular

We’re working towards becoming a fully circular brand. That means:

  • Extending the life of every product
  • Using renewable energy in every step, from thread to tag
  • Designing gear that can be recycled, reused, or reborn

We’re also trimming down the number of materials and components we use and teaming up with top-tier suppliers who share our values.

Transparency is key

We’re not perfect, and we won’t pretend to be. But we are committed to being real with you. That’s why we’re working on putting clear climate impact data on every product page, so you know exactly what kind of footprint your gear has. You’ll also start seeing regular updates on our progress, wins, and stumbles alike.

What you can do

We’re all in this together, and every choice counts. Here’s how you can help:

  • Don’t overwash your gear – Less is more (and better for the planet).
  • Only buy what you need – Mindful wardrobes = long-term style.
  • Repair and reuse – A little patch-up goes a long way.
  • Recycle your pieces – Give your gear a second life when you're done with it.

Our pledge

We’re backing the Paris Agreement and aiming to run ColourWear with net zero emissions by 2050. It’s a big goal, but we’re not in this to play small. We're moving step by step, with science, accountability, and that “now or never” spirit.

In short?

We know we’re not going to save the world by making clothes, but we can make better ones. Better for you, better for the planet.

So keep doing your thing, explore more, ride with your crew, and spread the green vibes.

We’ll be right there with you.
